I am looking into the 2007 models vs the pro. One has the pivoting foot plate with simple binding straps, the other have a non pivoting plate but have nice looking snowboard like bindings. What is a girl to do? Feedback greatly rewarded with karma.

Re: which is the better feature?
Fri, March 7, 2008 - 12:15 PMI'm not sure what the pivoting foot plate give ya, but the bindings is where it's at! The snow-board-looking bindings are better than those crappy stock ones for making you feel secure. Honestly though, the shin securing area is most important imho. If you're shin isn't tight and stable, the whole unit will feel like a loose boot, and not an extension of your leg. -

Fri, March 7, 2008 - 9:43 PMI am very thankful for your reply. You helped me very much. As a boarder, I understand the importance of good bindings, but this pivoting foot plate kept hovering over my head.

Re: which is the better feature?
Mon, March 17, 2008 - 7:58 PMIf you are new to bocking, my advice would be to start out with a non-pivoting footplate. Although the pivoting footplate allows for a more natural feel when running, it is very unnerving when a footplate teeters when jumping -- especially when you are a beginner. Go for the better bindings. The Poweriser 2007 is a very good model, and it is equipped with a calf cuff instead of a knee bar loop.
Good luck with it.
